Present
Simangavole perform the traditional yet powerful Maloya rhythm, the music of the slaves of Reunion island, a French territory located between Mauritius and Madagascar. Maloya can be compared to the American music of the blues, often lyrically reflective and similar in its chant-response structure and has links to Sega, the folk music of Réunion. With lyrics that draw from raw emotion and feeling this high energy performance from the Island divas deliver an unforgettable live experience.
A son of Lifou, a small Pacific Ocean island which is part of New Caledonia, Jean-Philip Katreie Ihnomadra, also known as Ykson, is both musician and visual artist. Artistically, he's been called the 'Basquait of the Pacific', painting in a style where an urban street vibe meets traditional island practises, rituals and beliefs. Musically, he performs astonishing mix of rap, blues and reggae sounds combined with traditional Kanak rhythms.

Named by Keith Richards, the IMFs are a gathering of artists who each represent a list of credentials that has taken them from Stadiums across the world countless times, with acts such as the Rolling Stones, Parliament Funk, The Pretenders and Pearl Jam.
There are few performers who can captivate an audience and keep them mesmerised – but Queensland-based multi-instrumentalist Dave Dow is certainly one of these anomalies. His personality shines through on stage, stopping passer-bys in their tracks as he demonstrates his musical aptitude and versatility in a style laced with funk, soul, reggae and an Island vibe.
Astro is often called "the DJ's DJ", known for his seamless blend of genres and party rocking sets. He has rocked crowds in USA, Europe, UK, Australia, India and Morocco.
Hailing from N.E. Arnhemland, Northern Territory. Gambirra is both a performing and visual artist. Musically she is an independent producer, singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Her style represents an unique fusion of soulful roots, world, funk & dub. Her presence embodies moving provocative rhythms, powerful arresting vocals and a magnetic personality. Gambirra is in a class of her own.
His name is Benny Walker. Offering an effortless blend of soul, blues, reggae and acoustic folk, Walker’s intimate, eloquent song-writing is complemented by a rich, soulful voice speaking of the trouble, strife and wonder of everyday life.
